MEET DR. LEGG

After growing up in Newport News, VA, Dr. Stephen Legg attended Lynchburg College where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and graduated magna cum laude. During his undergraduate career, he was a member of several undergraduate honor societies and was a 4-year member of the varsity soccer team. Following his time at Lynchburg College, Dr. Legg went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed both his general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Legg chose urology because of the broad range of surgeries that allow him to treat potentially life-threatening diseases as well as those conditions that, when treated, can greatly improve patients’ quality of life. Above all else, Dr. Legg is committed to providing patient-centered care. He enjoys taking the time to ensure that a patient understands both their condition and the treatment options available to them so they can make the most informed decisions about their health. Within the field of urology, Dr. Legg is particularly interested in robotic surgery, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, general urology and BPH treatment including Rezum, and Urolift.

Outside the office, you can find Dr. Legg spending time with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys golf, hiking, boating, skiing and watching sports.
